PHOTOS FROM MAY 15, 2010 WORSHOP IN THE PARK

A community workshop with hands-on participation in rain garden plantings was held on May 15, 2010 in our new township park,  This workshop was made possible by a generous grant from the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania Citizen Education Fund Water Resources Education Network (WREN). We appreciate the support of our partners in this project: Brandywine Valley Association, The Glen Rose Conservancy, Harker Gardening Service, LLC. A big thanks to Workshop Leader, Bill Harker of Harker Landscaping, volunteers from the Park and Recreation Commission and all the local residents, young and old, who came out for a wonderful day.

With the grant, we were also able to erect rain garden interpretive signs. Look for them on your next walk through the park.
